Our Story
W.H. Pletch Senior Dog Sanctuary is a new beginning, built in honor of my dad. He lived to 98 and had a quiet, steady love for old dogs, the ones with slow steps, cloudy eyes, and so much love still left to give.
He believed that every dog, no matter their age, deserved to feel safe, wanted, and truly at home.
Even before the sanctuary officially began, we were already helping senior dogs whenever and wherever we could, offering care, comfort, and support when they needed it most. Those moments showed us just how many older dogs are overlooked, and how powerful simple kindness can be.
Now we are building something bigger.
Right now there are no dogs here yet, just land, a dream, and the belief that we can create a place where senior dogs spend their golden years surrounded by peace and compassion. The sanctuary is just beginning, and every step forward brings us closer to opening our doors.
This will be a safe place for dogs often forgotten. A soft bed. A quiet yard. A final chapter written with dignity, comfort, and care.
Because here, Love Lives On.
Our Journey Begins Here
At W.H. Pletch Senior Dog Sanctuary, our mission is to give senior dogs the safety, comfort, and love they deserve during the final chapter of their lives.
Too often, older dogs are overlooked simply because of their age. They may need extra patience, slower days, or a little more care, but they still have so much love left to give. We believe every dog deserves to feel wanted, protected, and at peace, no matter how old they are.
Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where senior dogs can experience stability, gentle care, and the dignity of a true home. Through compassion, community support, and a commitment to kindness, we aim to provide more than shelter. We want to provide belonging.
As we continue to grow, our mission remains simple. To build a place where dogs can rest, heal, and be loved, and where their stories are honored every step of the way.

Our Mission
Our Goals
Our vision for W.H. Pletch Senior Dog Sanctuary is to grow step by step into a place where senior dogs are welcomed, cared for, and truly at home.
Our long-term goal is to build and open a “Welcome Home” Center that will serve as the heart of our sanctuary. This space will provide comfort, safety, and daily care for senior dogs who deserve a peaceful place to spend their later years.
As we grow, we also hope to create opportunities for volunteers to become part of our mission. Community support will help us reach our fullest potential by providing extra hands, caring hearts, and shared purpose in giving these dogs the love they deserve.
Each goal we set brings us closer to building something lasting, compassionate, and centered around one simple belief:
Love Lives On.
